Grants and State Aids for Your Ecommerce Site

There are grants and state aids available to help you create and develop your ecommerce site. We’ve compiled a list of links to help you apply.


Trading Online Voucher

This grant is funded through the Local Enterprise Offices (LEOs) across Ireland. Below are the links to the local offices offering these grants. The grant provides matching funds of up to €5,000, meaning you get a total budget of €10,000 for just €5,000 investment. Some conditions and criteria apply, and they can change, so make sure to check the link for your local office.

Important: These amounts are VAT inclusive. Digital Agency quotes you receive will be VAT exclusive.

Note: As of 2025, not all local offices offer the same grants. Be sure to speak with your local office and get grant approval before starting your project.


The New Scheme: Grow Digital Scheme


Grow Digital Voucher

To get a second Grow Digital Voucher, you must show the progress of your business as outlined in the “Digital for Business” report.

You must have completed a Digital for Business Project within the last two years.


What is a Digital for Business Project?


Criteria for the Grow Digital Voucher

The Grow Digital Voucher offers financial support to small and medium businesses with up to 50 employees who want to embrace digital technology. A Digital for Business Project report must be completed within the last two years.

  • Funding: Up to €5,000 for software, training, or IT configuration.
  • Boost Efficiency: Use digital tools to streamline operations and improve productivity.
  • Reach New Customers: Expand your online presence and connect with a broader audience.
  • Stay Competitive: Bridge the digital gap and stay competitive in today’s market.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Completed a Digital for Business Project in the last two years.
  • Not currently clients of Enterprise Ireland or IDA.
  • Must be established and trading for at least 6 months, registered, and operating within the area of the Local Enterprise Office.
  • Must be solvent, as shown in the financial statements provided.

Additional Eligibility:

Enterprises eligible for the scheme include:

  • Companies, self-employed individuals, or partnerships in trades or professions taxed under Case I or Case II of Schedule D (Taxes Consolidation Act 1997).
  • PAYG (Pay As You Go) customers are eligible.
  • Sporting bodies that would be taxable under Case I or II of Schedule D but for an exemption under Section 235 of TCA.
  • Charities with taxable trading income, except for an available tax exemption under Section 208 of TCA.

Tax Requirements:

  • Businesses must have current tax clearance from Revenue.
  • You will need to provide a Tax Reference Number and Tax Clearance Access Number to verify your Tax Clearance status through Revenue’s online portal.
